You received an absence notification because your child was marked as absent or late in school and the school has not yet received an explanation.
π± Why this happens
Schools use the app to notify parents when a student is:
- Marked absent
- Marked late
- Or when attendance is unclear
π This allows you to quickly confirm the reason for your childβs absence or query it with the school.
π What you need to do
When you receive a notification, you will be asked to choose one of the following:
- Absent β your child is not in school
- Late β your child arrived late
- Please Check β you are unsure and want the school to review
π After selecting an option, you may be asked to provide a short note.
β οΈ Important
- This notification is expected and part of the schoolβs attendance process
- It does not always mean something is wrong
- In some cases, attendance may still be updating when the notification is sent
β±οΈ Timing of notifications
Schools usually send absence notifications after morning attendance is taken.
π There can sometimes be a short delay between attendance being updated and notifications being sent.
