Apply through the admissions portal linked by your school. Completing an application does not guarantee an offer of a place.
1. Register or log in
- Open the enrolment link provided by the school, usually in the Admissions section of its website.
- If this is your first visit, choose Register and enter your parent/guardian details, not your child’s. Follow the email and phone verification prompts and complete registration.
- If you already have an account for this portal, choose Login and use that account.
Having trouble with verification? If you are not receiving an email or SMS verification/OTP code, or cannot complete verification, contact enrolmentsupport@uniqueschools.ie. Include the school name and describe the problem. Never send your password or verification codes.
2. Add your child
- On the dashboard, select the + beside Add Student/Child.
- Enter your child’s first and last names and select Save.
- Select Begin on their draft application. Read the introductory information and select Begin again.
If your child already has a draft, open that draft rather than adding them again. You can add another child separately within the same account.
3. Complete each section
Follow the pages shown for your school. These may include student details, supporting documents, the child’s address, guardian details, correspondence preferences, education history and school-specific questions.
- Complete fields marked *. Check names, date of birth and contact details carefully.
- Where the form offers an option for information you cannot provide, select it only if it applies and give any required explanation.
- Select Save & Next after each completed page. Correct any errors shown before continuing.
You can save your application and return later. A saved draft is not a submitted application.
4. Upload the requested documents
Have the documents listed by your school ready. The demo portal requests a birth certificate and lists the child’s PPS number and an NCSE letter, if applicable, in its preparation checklist.
On the birth-certificate page, select Click to upload Birth Certificate and choose your file. The upload accepts PNG, JPG, JPEG or PDF files up to 10 MB. Once attached, the filename appears; use Open to check it or the replacement option to choose the correct document. Then select Save & Next.
Example from the demo portal. Follow the requirements shown by your school.
5. Review, finish the school questions and submit
- At Confirm Details, check the information entered so far. Use Go Back to correct anything. Read the consent statement and confirm the signature and consent only if you agree, then select Save & Next. This is not the final submission.
- Complete the remaining pages shown by your school, such as Educational Status, admissions criteria and any special-class application questions. Enter the required school attendance dates and supporting details. Where asked to select one admissions criterion, choose the one that applies to your child; ask the school if unsure.
- On the final Policy Consent page, read the linked Code of Positive Behaviour and the consent statement. If you agree, select Confirm signature and consent.
- Select Submit Application to send the completed application to the school.
Check the dashboard afterwards. It should show Application submitted, not Application in Draft. Submitted applications have Review and Download Pdf options. You cannot edit a submitted application through the form; use the contact details shown in the portal if a correction is needed.
If you cannot find a confirmation email, check spam/junk and the dashboard status. A missing email alone does not mean the application was not submitted. Contact support if the status is unclear before creating another application.
Dates and help
Check your school’s opening and closing dates and submit before the deadline. Late applications are handled according to the school’s admissions policy.
For questions about admissions criteria or how to answer a school question, contact the school. For technical difficulties, email enrolmentsupport@uniqueschools.ie with the school name and a description of the problem. Never send your password or verification codes.
